Where I Stand On The

Issues

Focused on the issues that matter to Ward 5

  • Lowering Monthly Bills – Starting with Energy

Too many Ward 5 residents are feeling squeezed by rising costs—from utility bills to housing and everyday expenses.

I’ll focus on practical solutions to reduce energy costs, improve efficiency, and make sure new growth in our city doesn’t drive up what residents pay.

  • Stronger Support for Kids & Families

We don’t need more programs—we need the ones we already fund to actually work together.

DC invests in programs for young people and families—but too often, those services are hard to access or don’t work together.

I’ll work to make sure families can actually get the support they’re promised by improving coordination, accountability, and follow-through across agencies.

  • Thriving Local Businesses

Helping Ward 5 small businesses stay open, grow, and hire locally.

Small businesses are the backbone of Ward 5, but many are struggling with rising costs and barriers to growth.

I’ll focus on making it easier to open, operate, and sustain a business—so our commercial corridors stay vibrant and our local economy stays strong.
